QCD Autocentre Brackley Wins The Motor Ombudsman’s 2026 Midlands Star Award

Recognised for going beyond the repair, QCD Autocentre Brackley has been named the Midlands regional winner at The Motor Ombudsman’s 2026 Star Awards, celebrating exceptional customer service across the UK automotive industry.

We're delighted to announce that QCD Autocentre Brackley has won The Motor Ombudsman’s 2026 Regional Star Award for the Midlands, recognising our team's commitment to supporting customers when it matters most.

The award was presented at a special ceremony in London, held as The Motor Ombudsman celebrated its tenth anniversary. The annual Star Awards recognise businesses and individuals who demonstrate exceptional care, professionalism and a genuine willingness to go beyond what is expected.

For our team in Brackley, this recognition is particularly meaningful because it began with a customer's own experience.

The Customer Story Behind Our Award

Our winning nomination centred on a customer we had assisted with diagnosing a serious transmission fault.

More than seven months after the original diagnosis, the customer was still navigating a dispute relating to their vehicle finance agreement and needed further technical information to help progress their case.

Although considerable time had passed since our initial involvement, our team voluntarily provided an additional written professional opinion, supported by the relevant diagnostic findings.

It was a straightforward decision for us. We had the technical knowledge and information that could help the customer better understand their position, and we believed it was right to provide that support.

What followed was something we hadn't anticipated: the customer took the time to nominate QCD for The Motor Ombudsman’s Star Awards.

Their nomination ultimately led to us receiving the Midlands regional award.

Recognition That Means More

Now in their seventh year, The Motor Ombudsman’s Star Awards celebrate exceptional customer experiences across its network of accredited automotive businesses.

The 2026 awards attracted nominations from motorists across the country, with just 30 entries shortlisted across ten categories before an independent panel of industry judges selected the winners.

Being recognised among such strong competition is an achievement we're incredibly proud of.

More importantly, it reinforces something we believe strongly at QCD: good customer service isn't simply about completing the work. It's about being accountable, communicating clearly and standing by the people who place their trust in us.

Whether we're carrying out routine servicing, investigating a complex mechanical fault or helping someone understand their vehicle's condition, our responsibility is to provide honest, professional advice they can rely on.

This award recognises the value of that approach.

A Proud Moment for Our Team and Brackley

Winning the Midlands Star Award is a proud milestone for everyone at QCD Autocentre Brackley.

It's a reflection of the care, knowledge and professionalism our team brings to the workshop every day, often in ways that customers may never see.

We would like to thank the customer who put us forward for this award, and everyone who continues to trust us with their vehicles.

We're also grateful to The Motor Ombudsman and the judging panel for recognising the importance of the support provided.

As one of eight regional winners, QCD Autocentre Brackley is now in contention for the overall 2026 National Star Award, with the result due to be announced in December.

Whatever the outcome, we're proud to bring this recognition home to Brackley.

And we'll continue doing what earned it: providing dependable technical expertise, honest advice and customer care that doesn't end when the job is done.
